►Exciting Updates: Explore My Revamped Music Section!

Hello Everyone,

I've revamped the "♪ My Music" section (located at the top of the navigation bar). From now on, all my tracks from recent years will be listed there. It's a fantastic overview, in my opinion. From there, you can select individual tracks and proceed to the download area. You can also navigate from year to year using the dropdown menu.

Additionally, from this section, you can now access the area with my music albums or music disks. This area also provides an overview of all albums/music disks.

I hope you enjoy the two new sections. Such an overview has been missing from my website, I believe. If you find any errors, such as a dead link or a spelling mistake, don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you very much!

Furthermore, I've created a new logo and banner for this page using AI, so it wasn't really work for me πŸ˜‰ I now use the logo and banner for my social media pages such as X (formerly Twitter), Mastodon, YouTube, and other platforms. Did you even know about my social media pages? I would appreciate it if you could follow me. Unfortunately, I don't have many followers, and I rarely mention these pages.

But now, have fun exploring!

Best regards,
melcom

► Not a great year

Hey there,

Reflecting on the year, it's been a rollercoaster of challenges. It's not been the easiest ride, but I've found some silver linings.

The highlight for me this year was contributing two music tracks to The Sound of SceneSat Volume 7. The support and feedback from the IRC chat and Discord on release day were truly heartwarming. Despite the positive responses, I've been facing a bit of a hurdle in gaining downloads for my tracks. No matter how much effort I put into sharing them across demo scene platforms, the traction seems to be missing.

Looking back, I've created what I believe are some really stellar tracks - pieces like "Stroke," "Night Air," "Headlock," "Mechanical Love Song," or "A Martian Song." They've received high praise from esteemed demo scene musicians like Saga Musix and stand out as some of my best work. However, reaching an audience seems to be the challenge. It's disheartening to not see the expected engagement, and it's starting to impact my enthusiasm for releasing new music on my website.

Considering these challenges, I've been contemplating the future of melcom-music.de. The dwindling traffic and the lack of interaction make me question its viability. I'm leaning towards focusing more on demo scene projects like The Sound of SceneSat instead.

It's tough when praise doesn't translate into downloads or positive engagement. Posting on platforms like Modarchive occasionally shines a spotlight on my tracks, but the response has been limited. I'm left wondering where the disconnect is. Unfortunately, I haven't found the answer yet.

A similar pattern extends to my presence on social media platforms like Twitter and YouTube—I've struggled to gain a substantial following. This trend has persisted for years, and it makes me question the quality of my music.

For now, these are the thoughts on my mind. Looking ahead to the upcoming year, I'm considering focusing solely on specific demo scene projects and might consider the future of melcom-music.de.

Rest assured, I won't rush into any decisions. I'll take the time to weigh things thoroughly. Let's see what the new year brings.

Wishing you all a warm Christmas and a fantastic start to 2024! πŸŽ…πŸŽ„☃️πŸ₯³πŸ·

Warm regards,

► Two new tracks! My contribution to The Sound of SceneSat Vol. 7!

Hello πŸ™‹‍♀️

Two new tracks! My contribution to The Sound of SceneSat Vol. 7!
Pyramid Song

Last night, "The Sound of SceneSat Volume 7" premiered. There were four shows that could be listened to on SceneSat. Both of my tracks were already played in the first hour. Many thanks to @Sir Garbagetruck for that. All the other tracks by various artists were outstanding as well. Sometimes it felt like I didn't belong there. The other artists and their tracks were simply incredibly good.

I know it's been a while since I released a track. Unfortunately, that has to do with my illness. I won't make any promises here, and can't say for sure if I'll finish more tracks this year. For now, I might focus on dedicating my tracks to projects like this one. But I can't say for sure yet.

I hope you enjoy my two tracks: "Pyramid Song" and "Rotten". I'll add some download links later, including links to Spotify and other platforms. But for now, enjoy the tracks and their accompanying videos.

Best regards,
melcom
